The Manager for Station installation and inspection reports directly to the Director Station Networks and is responsible for the followings:

  • Installation, repairing and servicing of meteorological equipment and instruments;

  • Coordinating and processing the acquisition of relevant equipment for the Agency;

  • Maintaining an efficient telecommunication system for rapid collection, dissemination and exchange of meteorological data and products;

  • Foreseeing technological changes;

  • Calibrating and inter-comparison of meteorological instruments and development of maintenance standards and procedures;

  • Evaluating meteorological equipment projects in liaison with relevant Divisions;

  • Fabricating some meteorological instruments and other products

  • Ensuring performance/financial targets are met.
