Hottest conditions prevailed in the districts of Arua, Packwach, Gulu, Tororo, Lira, Soroti, Kamuli, Serere, Kasese, Masindi, Wakiso, Mubende, Mukono, Jinja and Sembabule with average maximum temperatures from 30.1 to 35. 7 degrees centigrade during this period. Highest of the maximum temperature recorded was 36.5 degrees centigrade at Wadelai weather station.

Dry conditions are expected to persist across the entire country during the period from 1st to 10th January 2017.
