During the period 1st - 10th May, 2017, dry conditions persisted over Karamoja sub-region, West Nile region and along the Western Stretch through Albertine region to South Western Uganda. Substantial rainfall was received in the Lake Victoria region and parts of central region. The highest amount of rainfall recorded during this period was 189.1 mm at Entebbe National Meteorological Center (NMC) in Wakiso district, followed by 182.3 mm at Entebbe directorate of Water Resource Development (DRWD) station still in Wakiso district. The least amount of rainfall reported was 0.5 mm at Kotido station, and followed by 1.2 mm for both Arua and Kitgum Station.
